'Kuih apam beras' ...of all the malay sweets i must say that kuih apam doesn't belong to my favorite list but it reminds me of my childhood so i tried out this recipe one day. It came out very well as you can see but my family were not very thrill of the taste so i won't be making this very soon.

Miang Kam
This is a typical thai snack using some fresh 'cha plu' leaves (malay=daun kadok), ate them for the first time at champor restaurant in munich and i finally made some last week. In the middle is the palm sugar sauce prepared with chilis, ginger, lemon gras, grated coconut and dried shrimps. How do you eat them?...take a leaf, make a little pouch, fill them with a little bit of everything, close the pouch and put it in your mouth all at once, chew slowly and enjoy...
Ondeh-Ondeh Labu
Another typical malay sweets, honestly i love this 'ondeh-ondeh' variation with 'labu=pumpkin' more than original one which using just plain glutinous rice flour for the dough. instead of palm sugar i used the sweet coconut fillings...they are simply delicious. i made them twice already this month. i have no recipe for this as i was just using my malay cooking knowledge and fantasy...
